I just saw someone on the street wearing these sandals and I almost tripped over my own feet just to get another glance. I can't believe I actually found them!! I am really drawn to everything and anything with zipper detail, it adds just the right amount of "edge" to any piece whether it be shoes, handbags, dresses or tops. I think what I love so much about this is that they are always unexpected, like the exposed zippers on the back of the pink/black colorblock dress and blue top below or the zipper on the pocket of the white t-shirt. The zipper always adds a little shock value; spices things up a bit. Are you as struck by these zipper details like I am? I mean, honestly, how can you not be?

Yikes! What's with the new half shaved head look?

Okay, I first saw this look on Cassie (R&B singer) while flipping through my People Magazine, then Carmen Electra and NOW Rihanna. Honestly, what is going on? Not in my wildest dreams would I ever let anyone take a razor to my head. And to make matters even more confusing, they only shave one side? Yes, this look is most definitely edgy and different, but just makes me wonder "what were they thinking?" Or...maybe I'm just pissed off because Rihanna still looks gorgeous with only half a head of hair (ha)?

I really look forward to this one sale every year. It's difficult for me to do, but I try to think about what I will need once the weather gets a little colder and try to buy it now, on sale, versus in 3 months from now at full price. The greatest thing about Nordstrom is that if I buy something now and then don't end up wearing it in 3 months from now I can still return it then. They have the best return policy ever (save your receipt to be on the safe side)! So, I say buy now and reevaluate later. What I suggest buying are boots, handbags, coats and sweaters. Let me know what you think about the selection! Would you buy months in advance to save some cash or can you not even think about your winter wardrobe yet?

Any time I've ever needed to add a touch of color to my black and white wardrobe, I always grabbed something red, until now. All over the city my eyes jet back and forth at the vibrant yellows I see all around. There is something about yellow that just screams summer and I love it! The way it bounces off a fresh tan is flawless. I just bought myself a yellow cardigan and I feel so alive in it...like I have gotten 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep (wouldn't that be nice?)How do you feel about yellow and have you been sporting it this summer?

I live with my boyfriend and sometimes find it strange that he never really sees me looking "human" during the week. I wake up after he leaves for work and by the time he gets home I have already partook in my nightly rituals. He never sees what I wear to work, how my makeup looks, how I've put myself together for the day, he just sees the exhausted girl in her PJs. And I'm not talking any sexy lingerie here ladies, I'm talking pimple medicine in place, cotton shorts and a t-shirt. Sometimes I wonder if I should purchase some cute little slip dresses to sleep in, try to look a little more put together, but he doesn't seem to mind the mess that I am...seems like I've got myself a keeper?!?!

What do you wear to bed? Do you throw on sexy lingerie, flannel pants, a big baggy t-shirt?

I really like some of these options, others are really trying too hard...would you give any of these a try? Is it really worth spending the extra cash on pajamas?

I own so much costume jewelry. Long necklaces, funky rings and fun earrings. It's always been hard to store all of these pieces without them getting all tangled together. I've been looking around and have found some really creative ways to organize all of these special accessories. They also add some unexpected charm to your room.

Also, you know the plastic divider box you used to store all your beads in when you were younger? I use each separate section for a different necklace, pair of earrings or ring. This has not steered me wrong yet. It's actually the perfect jewelry box and the cost is minimal ($17).

If you want to spice it up a bit add some jewels or cut outs from a magazine to the cover...I'm telling you, you're going to LOVE this.

After much procrastination (and harassment from a co-worker that they were WAY too long), I got my bangs cut. Getting a bang cut is not as easy as one may think. It is a very delicate balance. If they don’t cut enough, you will have to go back next week again for yet another bang cut. If they cut too much, your bangs might end up looking like Peggy on Mad Men (see below), and I sure don’t want that!! The bang cut yesterday ended up being one of the best I’ve gotten since I’ve stepped foot in the city. Who would have thought that the hair salon I’ve been staring at through my work window for 2 years would be “the one.”

Anyways, how often do you go to get a bang/hair cut? Do you stick with one person or do you go with the most convenient at the moment? Do you trust when some else has those scissors in their hands or are you as skeptical as I am of their expertise? How much do you pay? Have any horror stories to tell?

Ohhh there is nothing better than throwing on your favorite boots once the temperature cools down. No, I'm not hoping for the end of summer by any means, I actually HATE the cold, but I LOVE the look of a brand new pair of leather boots. This new vintage line from Nine West has really caught my attention. I allow myself one expensive pair of boots each year and I think I've found them already. This pair right here are so gorgeous; I think I'm blushing. I love the dark natural leather look and the side grommet details. I'm going to wait it out for a little, maybe until they go on sale or perhaps a friendly coupon comes my way, but boyyy have I got my eye on these.
